To level we first click on adjustments on the right hand side on photoshop and then click the button circled in the picture beside called the gradient map, this should make the picture black and white.
The next step is click on the one circled on this photo called levels this will take you to a graph seen below.
On this graph you can move the triangles bellow the graph to add contrast to the image.
